Petiole at REAP 2017. Can you imagine this? That’s our great honour and pleasure. Today we got a priceless opportunity to represent our agritech project at one of the must-know agriculture events in the United Kingdom.

What is REAP 2017 Conference?

Agri-TechE’s REAP Conference (Realising Economic Agricultural Potential) is the flagship event of Agri-Tech Week in the UK. It brings together farmers and growers with researchers, innovators, entrepreneurs and investors.

In brief, REAP helps to meet people from across Agri-TechE’s unique ecosystem. In addition, they believe that innovation is the engine behind adaptive change for the industry. Also, the conference brings together those who want to develop or deploy new technology. It supports fresh thinking and apply best practice to make a difference to agriculture and horticulture – in the UK and beyond.

This includes farmers and growers, researchers and technology developers, entrepreneurs and investors. As well as professional and commercial service providers. All these are critical players in ensuring new innovations can make the difference where they are needed. In other words, in farm businesses.

The conference is strongly focused around bridging the gap between producer needs and innovation-based solutions. Also it aims to showcase the increasingly vibrant agri-tech start-up community.

To emphasise the deep link between REAP 2017 and innovations, the conference welcomed its guests on Tuesday, 7th November 2017, from 09:30am till 6.00pm. The participants met at the Genome Campus Conference Centre in Cambridge, which is a well-known place of heart of life-changing science

Petiole at the Conference

Agri-Tech East is a truly pioneer of agri-tech and an independent, business-focused cluster organisation, created to improve the international competitiveness and sustainability of plant-based agriculture and horticulture. That’s why they keep eye on companies, which bring innovative solutions to agriculture. And we are glad that our Petiole was interesting for them. As a result we got an invitation to represent our solution for leaf area measurement using Computer Vision algorithms.
